It is about being true to yourself…

A good friend of mine told me, not long ago, to write about what i truly believe in and this is what i sent her …..

this is what i truly think is what is what you need to understand to function in this modern world… so learn french if you don’t understand what Claude Levi Strauss is saying because it is the key for functionning in the modern world.
Peace,
C.

To create for a corporate video

I like this exercise to shot a video for a company. In this case it’s JPdL-Vitamine Canada. They organise incentive trips in Canada for European and US companies. They wanted to wish happy new year in a creative way, this is the result …we had a lot of fun !

Tribute to Basquiat

Most of the time, you start with an idea. You paint it on the canevas and then, you end up with something totally different. This is what happened with this painting. I did not know i had this in me. I love to discover myself through art.
I am preparing my very first exhibition in June 2010 hopefully. I’ll keep you posted. I’m working on “my Modern rock art on wood” concept at the moment ;o)

Bruce Forever

Here is a video specially made by the great photographer Bruce Weber for Yves St Laurent (YSL).
I was lucky enough to do the french translation of the text for the video since it was shown in Paris a couple of months ago.
It is a fascinating exercice to translate the artist words in another language. You need to believe that you get the vision and the intention of the man. That’s quite intimidating !
But for Bruce, what i love about him, it is his talent to embark the spectator into his creative universe. Only him can translate his mood, his look on things, the many elements that are or have been part of his life and make him what he is today.
Enjoy !

An inspiring artist

Today, it is not about me but about another artist Dave Lefner who uses an old technic of carving to do his paintings. This is inspiring and beautiful and part of our search of the “new ” aesthetic of our time.
Enjoy this beautiful portrait directed by Ric Serena.
